Hey everyone welcome back to the blog.
To do well in Valorant Mobile you need to know how to shoot and get headshots but to really get better and move up the ranks you have to master your agents abilities.
This is what makes a good player great.
Think about it the difference between a Silver or Gold player and an Immortal or Radiant player is not about how good they are at aiming.
Most of the time it is about how they use their abilities.
A placed smoke, a wall that changes the game a sneaky flash or a well-placed molly can win a round even when you have fewer players or your aim is not good that day.
In 2026 with the maps and agent balance using your abilities well has become more important than ever.
The players who get to the ranks are not just the ones who are good at aiming they are the ones who think ahead use their abilities to get an advantage and make the other team uncomfortable.

Mastering your Valorant Mobile agents abilities is the key, to getting better.
Valorant Mobile agents can be very powerful if you use them well.
Why Using Your Abilities Matters More on Mobile
On a computer you have lots of keys to press, a big screen and a mouse that is very accurate so using your abilities feels easy. On a phone everything is different. You need to put your fingers in the place time things just right and move your phone around smoothly. If you make a mistake with your smoke bomb or your firebomb lands short you can lose the round right away.
A placed ability can completely turn a bad situation into a win. When you are playing alone and you cannot talk to your teammates and they are only thinking about themselves using your abilities correctly is the way to win. Mastering your abilities is one of the ways to get better at the game in 2026 even if you are not the best shot.
Players who get to the levels do not just shoot better they think better and use their abilities in a smart way. They make things happen before the fight even starts. In this guide we will show you how to do that.
Viper – The Queen of Control
Viper is still one of the characters for playing alone and in ranked games. She can control the area stop the team from defusing the bomb and make them go into bad positions, which makes her very powerful on almost every map.
Here are some advanced tips for playing Viper:
- Use her wall of poison not to block the other teams vision but to split the area and make the other team go into awkward positions.
- Learn how to make smoke bombs that let you see the team but they cannot see you.
- After you plant the bomb her snake bite is very good at stopping the team from defusing it from a safe place.
Some creative and powerful ways to play Viper:
- On the Bind map place the wall from the Hookah window to block both Heaven and A Short at the time. This makes the other team have to either go through the wall or waste time going around.
- On the Lotus map use two snake bites, one on the default plant and one on the entrance. This is very strong for stopping the team from defusing the bomb after you plant it.
- On the Sunset map use a long-range poison screen from the attackers side that covers the entire middle area. This lets you play aggressively or move around safely.
A tip for players: use the gyro feature to make small adjustments when placing the wall. Practice in custom games until you can consistently place the wall perfectly even when you are under pressure. If you have a ping throw your snake bites a little earlier.
Omen – Master of Mind Games
Omens teleport and paranoia abilities make him the best character for surprising the team and playing mind games.
Here are some advanced techniques for playing Omen:
- Fake a teleport to confuse the team then cancel it and come from a different angle.
- Use his dark cloud ability to block the teams vision when you are taking back a site or hiding your teams movement.
- Throw paranoia through walls and common angles to get information about the team without putting yourself in danger.
Some creative ways to play Omen:
- On the Ascent map, teleport from Market to Catwalk for a surprise attack that the other team does not expect.
- On the Fracture map teleport through walls for angles that can break the other teams setup.
- On the Bind map, teleport from the Hookah window to the Garden after planting the bomb. This lets you put a lot of pressure on the default plant while staying safe.
A tip for players: practice short teleports first and use the gyro feature to quickly adjust your crosshair after landing so you can shoot or use abilities right away.
Sage – The Ultimate Solo Staller
Sage is still one of the characters for players who like to hold sites stop the other teams movement and win with smart ability usage.

- Learn how to make “pixel walls” and half-walls that block one specific angle while giving you vision on other angles.
- Use orbs not just to slow down the other team but to make them go into predictable paths.
- Timing is critical when using her resurrection ability. Do not use it early when the fight is still going on.
The best maps for Sage in 2026 are:
- Lotus. The walls are very strong because of the verticality.
- Sunset. The mid control is excellent with walls.
- Ascent. The classic A Main and B Main walls still dominate.
A tip for players: practice placing walls using landmarks on the screen. A placed Sage wall on mobile can completely stop an aggressive push.

Raze is still one of the characters for solo carrying games.
Here are some advanced tips for playing Raze:
- Master double satchel jumps to get to ground quickly.
- Combine satchel jumps with paint shells for devastating site takes.
- Use the boombot after planting the bomb to clear the default plant and make the other team move out of position.
Some creative ways to play Raze:
- On the Bind map satchel jump from the Hookah window directly into Heaven for a surprise attack.
- On the Lotus map use high jump satchels to attack from vertical angles.
A tip for players: use the gyro feature during satchel jumps for better control in the air and faster crosshair placement after landing.

Killjoy – Site Lockdown Specialist
Here are some advanced setups for playing Killjoy:
- Combine the turret and nanoswarm traps for extremely strong default plant denial.

- Spend 5-8 minutes in deathmatch mode focusing on creative ability usage.
- After every ranked session watch 2-3 death replays and ask yourself: “Did I waste any abilities? Could I have used them better?”
